Check out the speakers for the closing session

At the Via Nordica Congress 2024 Congress, we’re aiming to see you off with a feeling of excitement and an open mind. The goal of our closing session is to focus on how we ensure mega projects achieves societal understanding and integration, and how to handle public criticism, that might not reflect the overall values of society.

To discuss the topic, we’ve invited Henrik Vincentsen, CEO of Femern A/S and Luc Hellemans, CEO of Lantis. They’ll share their own experiences working with mega projects and how they’ve managed to establish connections to the affected society.

🚨 What can we learn from accidents? 🚨

The Nordic countries are among the best in the world when it comes to road safety. But we can still learn and improve. At the Via Nordica 2024 Congress, there is an entire session dedicated to accident investigators and their stories.

You’ll hear about the Tretten bridge collapse 2022 in Norway, and what can we learn from accidents like this. The session will also expand on recent findings in accident investigation methods and technology. You’ll also hear about previous projects which have improved traffic safety.

The session will be moderated by Anne Eriksson and Morten Klintø, who are both from the Danish Road Directorate.

Joining them on stage will be:

Kalle Parkkari, Leader of Road Accident Investigation, Finnish Crash Data Institute OTI

Per Olav Hetland, Inspector of accidents, Norwegian Safety Investigation Authority (NSIA)

Benny Thomsen, accident investigator, DanCrash.

Where to stay in Copenhagen

You can either book hotels on your own or when registering for the conference. We suggest that you do this well in advance.

Hotel rooms have been pre-booked at special conference rates for the participants at the venue hotel and in two other hotels in the vicinity of the venue. We encourage you to book the hotel when you make your registration online so you will not risk that your preferred hotel is fully booked.

If for some reason it is more convenient for you to book the hotel room after having registered for the conference it is still possible to book and achieve the favourable conference rate, as long as rooms are available.
